What happens after someone pays
Every Kiln product is made one at a time, after the money clears. This page says how each item gets made, what the estimated window is, and where the safety valve sits.
Three moving parts, in plain words
Payment clears first
Nothing is made on spec. A buyer pays through Stripe Checkout, directly into the seller's own connected Stripe account, and only then does the order enter production. No inventory, and no buyer money held by Kiln.
Printed and embroidered goods
Made one at a time by print-on-demand facilities on the Printful network. With Printful connected, Kiln drafts the production order the moment payment clears, and a human reviews and confirms every draft before anything prints. Without it, the same paid order is placed by hand. Either way: no reviewed file, no production.
Consumables and everything else
Hot sauce, wellness gummies, and facial serum are fulfilled by hand today: a paid order is flagged for manual handling and Kiln places it with a US white-label maker, whose name you get on your first order. Candles and coffee take the same by-hand route. Kiln invents no recipes; the product is the maker's existing formula under your label. Every item, who makes it, its window
The window below is the estimate each product carries in Kiln's catalog: production and domestic carrier transit together, in business days. It is the same window a buyer sees before paying, and it stays an estimate until real shipments prove it.

Four promises to buyers
Made to order, window shown up front
Nothing exists until you order it; that is the point. The estimated made-and-shipped window is on the product page before you pay, not in an email after.
Tracking when it ships
Every shipment goes out with carrier tracking. Your private /order page, linked from your confirmation email next to your receipt, is where the number lands.
Defects are on us
Misprinted, damaged in transit, or the wrong item: replaced or refunded, your choice. Because each piece is made for you, there are no change-of-mind returns on customized goods, and we say that before checkout, not after.
